Getting started

Create a free account at make.com (1,000 credits/month included). Choose a blank scenario or start from a template using one of the 3,000+ available apps. Add modules by dragging the icons of the apps you want to connect (for example Gmail, Google Sheets, Slack), configure the initial trigger and subsequent actions, and test the scenario manually before activating it. Since 2026, each module execution consumes credits instead of the old "operations" system.

1. Manage credit consumption
   In Organization > Billing, review credit consumption per scenario, since each module execution (trigger, filter, HTTP request) counts as one.
2. Set the execution interval
   On the free plan, the minimum interval between scheduled runs is 15 minutes; paid plans allow near-real-time execution.
3. Team roles
   Starting with the Teams plan, you can assign different roles and permissions to each team member on shared scenarios.
4. Enable the AI Toolkit
   Add AI modules (text generation, extraction, agents) from the app catalog without having to code complex prompts manually.

Tips

• Use manual run mode ("Run once") to debug a scenario step by step before activating it in production.
• Group several simple actions into a single scenario instead of creating multiple separate ones — this saves credits by avoiding duplicate triggers.
• Check the execution history to spot recurring integration errors before they become a bigger problem.
• If you're coming from Zapier, keep in mind that Make usually requires more initial setup but offers much more visual control and advanced conditional logic.
