Getting started

Sign up at fireflies.ai with your email or Google account and connect your calendar (Google Calendar or Outlook). Fireflies automatically detects your upcoming meetings in Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, or Webex and joins as a bot to record and transcribe. You can also manually invite fred@fireflies.ai to any meeting or upload a previously recorded audio/video file. After the meeting, within minutes you get a full transcript, a summary with key points, automatically detected action items, and the option to ask the AI directly (AskFred) about the content.

Advanced setup

    Configure whether Fireflies should join all meetings, only the ones you organize, or ask for confirmation each time, to avoid recording private calls.
  3. Output integrations
    Connect Slack, Notion, HubSpot, or Salesforce so summaries and tasks are automatically sent to your work tools.

    Check Settings > Billing to track usage of the shared credit pool that powers summaries, AskFred, and highlights, since it resets monthly.
