Getting started

Download Descript (desktop app) or go to descript.com and create an account; the Hobbyist plan runs around $16/month billed annually. Import an audio or video file, or record directly inside the app. Descript automatically transcribes the content and turns it into an editable text document: deleting a word from the text deletes that fragment from the audio/video (Word-style editing). Use Studio Sound to clean up the audio and Overdub if you need to fix phrases with your cloned voice without re-recording.
